The Hope Society for Rehabilitation of Disabled has decided to launch a “Limbs for All” project in the holy month of Ramzan to provide quality artificial limbs to deserving. Dr.Khalid Niazi, President HOPE Rehabilitation Society, told in press conference in Lahore Press Club that modern artificial limb would be provided to the deserving disables. Dr. Niazi said that the names of deserving and handicaps would be registered at HOPE Center head office in Johar Town.
Punjab Provincial Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Gafoor, also addressed the press conference and admires the services done by HOPE Rehabilitation Society for the disables. He said that HOPE Society did a great job during earth quake in Kashmir and it invited foreign experts for delivering artificial limbs to earth quake victims. He also announced to reopen the School Of Orthopedic Technology in Mayo Hospital, Lahore. He said that school was offering the orthopedic technology for preparing the artificial limbs but due to internal politics it had been closed in 1990.
The Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Gafoor also handed over modern artificial limbs to disables which were given free of cost by HOPE Rehabilitation Society.
